Jerry Hedges
Jerry began his IT career in 1974 as a programmer with Legal and General Assurance Society. In 1977 he moved to Business Computer Systems Plc a commercial systems supplier. Jerry joined PCS in 1988 as General Manager and following involvement in all areas of PCS’s business, as Customer Services Director and latterly as Technical Director, became Managing Director in May 2005.
Simon Gabourel - Associate Technical Director
Simon has over twenty five years experience with PCS and assumes overall responsibility for software development of all the application products available from PCS covering Advertising, Production, Editorial, Circulation, peripheral components and internal systems. Simon joined PCS and worked within Technical Services and Customer Services prior to returning to Development to head up the software development sections.
Andy Bailey - Development Manager
Andy has been with PCS for over eleven years and is responsible for the day to day running of the development department. With a team of twenty, including four project managers, software for print and the Internet is designed and developed for the main Advertising, Production, Editorial and Circulation disciplines, as well as integration with third party projects.
Mike Ward Financial Director
Mike is a qualified CIMA and joined PCS as Company Accountant in 1991 and was promoted to Financial Director and Company Secretary five years later. Mike brings over thirty years accountancy experience to PCS.
Mark Read- Associate Sales Director
Mark has over 25 years sales experience and joined PCS in 1999 from the Midland News Association, responsible for advertising, Mark managed editions of the daily Express and Star and weekly Chronicle series. Mark has enjoyed roles as Sales Executive and Sales Manager at PCS and now heads the Sales Department covering all aspects of product sales, sales support and marketing.
Lynda Holloway Accounts Manager
Lynda has been with PCS for over three years as Accounts Manager and has over twenty five years experience in accountancy. She is responsible for all the day to day functions of the accounts department.
Colin Bigmore - Associate Services Director
Colin heads up the Customer Services team and has over 20-years experience with PCS having previously worked as an IT Manger for newspaper publishers.
Dave Borley – Installation and Training Manger
Dave has worked in newspaper planning, PCS Sales and now heads up the Installation and Training team. Dave’s team of 10 Contract Managers carry out project management, installation and training of all systems supplied by PCS, and is the primary customer interface throughout the installation phase.
Mike Parker – Site Control Manager
Mike has been with the Claverley Group for over 25-years and heads up the Site Control team. In Mike’s team are 6 Site Controllers looking after or co-ordinate all aspect of support once the installation phase has been successfully completed. These are mainly carried out under Service Agreements.
Alan Ramsay – Technical Services Manager
Alan has been with PCS over 6-years and heads up the Technical Services team. Alan’s team consists of skilled hardware and software engineers plus a Store Man. Responsibilities include goods in and out, PDI, hardware configuration, installation and support covering Sun Unix, Microsoft, Linux and Apple platforms. Also communications and networking advice and guidance is provided.
Paul Rushton – Looks after all customer Hardware, Software and Hosting contracts as well as third-party supplier contracts where their products are supplied through PCS or PCS out-source services to third-party suppliers.
