Ad-CCM focuses on the credit control function of handling the accounts of the ad system by pooling the relevant tools and data from the ABS system into a single ‘one stop does it all’ credit control application.
This module allows credit controllers to automatically identify, then very closely monitor and manage accounts that meet publisher pre-defined exception criteria. The Ad-CCM module works with the Ad-Ledger automatic debt chasing mechanism, building on this to enable, where necessary, selective active management of customer accounts credit. Accounts that meet publisher pre-defined criteria are proactively identified and all the relevant information is presented back to the credit controller in an easy-to-navigate tree-view. From here credit controllers have all the necessary information and tools available in order to, for example, selectively follow-up customers whose credit behaviour falls outside their agreed terms.
Overall the Ad-CCM system:
• Focuses on credit control.
• Provides clear time management & work flow chasing tools.
• Allows the clear allocation of responsibility.
• Creates records of all credit controller actions.
• Enables a supervisor to evaluate the performance of each credit controller.
• Enables an active role for the credit controller.
• Has a mechanism for short term credit chasing campaigns.
• Enhances credit controller communications regarding specific accounts.
Ad-CCM provides an automatic credit control workflow, enhanced by an Ad-CCM diary that integrates with the debt chasing tools. Responsibility is clearly allocated to individual credit controllers as each controller is assigned a set of accounts. Ad-CCM provides a comprehensive set of tools to browse overdue accounts, for example, or to act on the information displayed in order to recover debt, whilst the system automatically records all the actions taken by each credit controller. These records are displayed in the credit history pages associated with each account. Since all actions are recorded, a supervisor is able to review the effectiveness of any action taken by a credit controller giving them the added benefit of being able to identify individuals’ performance or skill shortages via review, feedback, advice and training.
In a situation where a short credit chasing campaign is required to overcome a sudden increase in overall credit risk, the mechanism exists to select accounts based on user defined criteria, such as number of days overdue, amount overdue and percentage of account credit limit used, and to allocate accounts identified by these campaigns to selected credit controllers.
At any time responsibility for handling a customer account can be temporarily passed from the credit controller to a supervisor. The supervisor, like the credit controller, can view comments regarding the account alongside the chronological record of Ad-CCM actions. This enables the supervisor to quickly evaluate the immediate and past credit history of the account together with the account’s current credit state, in order that they can decide how they will progress the situation. The supervisor can elect to act on the account or add his comments and pass it back to the original credit controller.
By streamlining the credit control procedure to become more effective and efficient, the Ad-CCM module has great potential in helping to establish and maintain positive credit-controller customer relationships. Not only does the Ad-CCM module enable credit controllers to respond promptly and, where necessary, individually to overdue customer accounts, it gives the whole team a complete history of each account, ensuring consistency and a perception of professionalism no matter who is dealing with the customer.
Ad-CCM forms part of the ABS suite of products and as such inherits the browser-based look and the workflow mechanisms associated with the Ad-CRM module. Ad-CCM runs on industry standard platforms, using a Sybase database with clients running under Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. The system can run on either UNIX or Windows servers.
